MVCI Candidates’ Forum

Costa Mesa NCC

On Wednesday August 24, 2016, Mesa Verde Community, Inc will celebrate their 16th Costa Mesa City Council Candidates Forum. That’s a whopping 32 years that the local all volunteer HOA has been hosting City Council Candidates Forums.

The event will be held at the Downtown Community Center located at 1845 Park Ave, in the Costa Mesa room.  Festivities start at 6:30pm with a Candidates meet and greet and the program starting promptly  at 7:00pm.  All of the candidates have been invited.

The  moderator this year is none other than Former Costa Mesa Mayor and current Vice President of the Board of Coast Community Colleges,  Mary Hornbuckle.

Light refreshments will be served.   As always this event is FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC. The entire City is invited and encouraged to attend and take advantage of this rare opportunity to listen to Council Candidates talk about what they think is important to our City and ask questions about  what  YOU think is important!

**UPDATE** While not mentioned in the original post, the Candidate Forum will be videotaped in its entirety and posted on YouTube, Vimeo, this website and anywhere else the association desires it be posted.

Parkway Trees — An Update

With thanks to Virginia Vargas for taking “point” on this project, we now have additional information from the city:

“If you are interested in more information regarding planting a tree in your parkway please call 714-327-7490. Someone from staff will return the call and fill you in regarding eligibility to participate in the reforesting program. Thank you again for you interest!”

So if you’d like to pursue this, give the city a call!
