With thanks to Virginia Vargas for taking “point” on this project, we now have additional information from the city:
“If you are interested in more information regarding planting a tree in your parkway please call 714-327-7490. Someone from staff will return the call and fill you in regarding eligibility to participate in the reforesting program. Thank you again for you interest!”
So if you’d like to pursue this, give the city a call!

We love the idea of more trees lining the streets providing cleaner air and shade! Discussing this last week an idea came up that planting trees that provide food would be a lovely multi-beneficial service to the community and its dwellers! I just want to pass on this thought as it seems even more long term oriented:)
